The Role As a Teaching Assistant, you will: Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups. Work with children who have a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons. Support pupils with Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH needs, speech and language difficulties, and learning disabilities. Encourage positive behaviour and help pupils reach their individual targets. Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families. Support the social, emotional, and academic development of pupils. Assist with personal care where required. Requirements To be successful in this role, you should have: Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN needs. Experience within a school, nursery, care, youth work, or support setting. A patient, compassionate, and resilient approach. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to adapt to different school environments. A genuine passion for supporting children and young people. A DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
