This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils with Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN) , including autistic learners and pupils with related communication profiles. You will work closely with teachers, therapists and support staff to help pupils access learning, develop communication skills and build confidence in a nurturing and structured environment. Affinity Partnerships are looking for a qualified History Teacher to teach lessons to both KS3 and KS4 at one of our schools in Highbridge. We are seeking an adaptable teacher who feel confident teaching across KS3 and KS4, maintaining a positive classroom environment, and supporting pupils of all abilities to reach their full potential. Strong classroom management skills and a flexible approach are essential. This role will include planning and marking, and will be 3 days a week (Tuesday - Thursday) and so will be a paid to scale role. The successful candidate must be able to drive as this school is not accessable by public transport. The successful applicant: Qualified Teachers Status. Have a sound understanding of Secondary Education. Have excellent literacy, Numeracy, and communication skills. Have confidence supporting the KS3 and KS4 curriculum. Have experience of supporting children in all aspects of the curriculum. Will be a team player, as well as using their initiative and good sense of humour. Have experience of working with children with a range of additional needs including Autism, Speech and language difficulties and other SEND students, both in smalls groups and 1:1.
